VESDOC FOR YOU

For recreational anglers

Ready for a day’s fishing.

A good day on the water often begins before you cast off. Vesdoc will be a practical place for people who use their boat for recreational fishing: boat records, help with equipment and easy access to sources about the conditions around you.

Explore the concept

What we want to make easier.

Boat and fishing gear together

We’re planning an equipment register that includes loose fishing gear. Manuals, purchase details and maintenance can be linked to the right item alongside the rest of your boat’s documents.

Help with your instruments

The boat guide will explain practical tasks on your actual equipment, using original manuals as a reference. Examples include finding your way around the chartplotter or the fishfinder’s controls.

An overview before and during the trip

Weather, wave, tide, selected current resources and AIS links are already available. Radar plotting sheets and mil diagrams support distance estimation and navigation.

A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE OF THE PLANNED SERVICE

Imagine an early start with a fishing friend.

  1. Check conditions using the relevant source services before choosing your trip.
  2. Find your boat’s documents and go through the equipment you’ll use.
  3. Your friend can use the shared boat guide to find practical tasks aboard.

Where are we now?

The equipment register and boat guide are in development. This concept focuses on the boat, equipment and trip preparation. Fishing spots, catch records and local fishing rules are not a completed Vesdoc service.

Useful tools you can use today.

Documents, practical tools and links to sea resources in Norwegian and English. No account needed.
