VESDOC FOR YOU

For tour guides

Be present. Be prepared.

When guests arrive to experience the coast, you want to focus on the trip. Our concept for guides working at sea is to bring together the boat’s practical information, relevant preparations and useful maritime resources around that experience.

What we want to make easier.

Find your way around the boat

A vessel-specific guide will make it easier to locate equipment and understand practical routines. This is especially useful when working on several boats or with different skippers.

A shared starting point

We plan to bring relevant instructions and task assignments into the passage pack. The guide and skipper can prepare from the same material, with clear roles for the trip.

Make information accessible

Vesdoc’s own pages and documents are produced in Norwegian and English. A shared boat guide can provide practical information before the trip, while local boating communities are part of our longer-term plans.

A PRACTICAL EXAMPLE OF THE PLANNED SERVICE

Imagine taking a small group along the coast.

  1. Use the weather, wave and tide links when preparing with the skipper.
  2. Review the boat’s instructions together and agree who does what.
  3. Keep the practical information for this particular boat at hand when welcoming guests.

Where are we now?

The sea resources and navigation sheets are available now. Guide, role and passage features are planned as part of the boat and operator tools. The guide’s role remains distinct from the skipper’s responsibilities.

Useful tools you can use today.

Documents, practical tools and links to sea resources in Norwegian and English. No account needed.
