A small operator has many of the same documentation needs as a large one, with fewer people to keep things organised. We’re planning Vesdoc as a practical tool for businesses running one or more small boats, including tourist boats along the Norwegian coast.

Support for safety management
Our plans cover vessel-specific procedures, checks and evidence. Relevant requirements will have sources, with a clear distinction between legal duties, company procedures and optional tools.
From preparation to follow-up
Printable day and passage packs will bring together relevant instructions and forms before departure. Afterwards, completed records and any reported issues can be returned to the operator.

Imagine two boats and skippers sharing the shifts.
- The operator keeps each boat’s documents and procedures up to date.
- The skipper receives a pack for the correct vessel and trip, and performs the applicable checks.
- The operator follows up completed records, maintenance needs and reported issues.
Where are we now?
Operator features, safety management and onboard packs are planned and demonstrated locally. Operational use needs a completed solution and verified material for the activity concerned; the operator remains responsible for the business.
